Wimpy in South Africa have come up with a fantastic campaign in order to promote the fact that they have Braille menus. Using food as a way of sending their message, they used strategically placed sesame seeds in order to produce a Braille message for their visually impaired customers. The message on the bun let customers know exactly what they were about to eat. This was a clever way for the brand to show that they cater for everyone.

Maryhill Burgh Hall is a newly refurbished community hall in the Maryhill area of Glasgow. The complex has been there since the 1800’s and is being put to good use by the locals.
However, this long-standing building is not a shrine to the past. Whilst playing homage to its roots the Maryhill Burgh Hall is also a sign of times to come as it features the world’s first interactive stained glass window!
Whilst admiring the beautiful stained glass throughout the building, you will find a QR Code, which you can scan with your smart phone and discover some historical Maryhill-related facts.
This modern interpretation of a history lesson is well worth checking out if you happen to be in the area.

We often listen to BBC Radio 2 here in the office, and from time-to-time along comes a song that baffles us and gets us talking. Having got caught up in a discussion about a song in which the man was singing about a cake melting in the rain (at least that’s what we think he said), we went online for answers.
As per usual good old Wikipedia was consulted for answers…nothing. We were left in the dark about the bizarre song, literally!
Through the medium of the English version of their site, Wikipedia have executed a blackout in order to protest against internet privacy laws in the US.
The holding page in place runs with the headline of, ‘Imagine a World Without Free Knowledge’.
Quite a big day in terms of internet privacy and censorship laws. It will be interesting to see how the English-speaking world reacts.
Anyway, best be off, we need to find an alternative place for information! Any suggestions welcome.
