Cheque Centre – TV Advert 2011

Brief: Cheque Centre is one of the UK’s leading alternative retail financial services companies with around 400 stores across Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Cheque Centre made the decision in 2011 to embark upon their first ever television advertising campaign to promote their Short Term Loan service. We were briefed to develop the script and then appointed to produce the 30 second TV advertisement which would run on STV, Channel 4 North and Channel 5 North.

Creative: Due to the delicate nature of the subject, we believed that the advertisement would engage the audience if it was demonstrable that Cheque Centre understands there are 101 everyday reasons why the target audience would potentially have the need for a Short Term Loan. The message delivered was clear and concise and the simple and accessible language ensured the message was relatable and successfully targeted toward the appropriate target audience.

Result: After the massively successful first burst of activity in Scotland, the TV advertisement has been rolled out into England and Northern Ireland over a period of 8 months. We are also due to film additional advertisements to support other service offerings.
