MG ALBA – Brand Guidelines

Brief: MG ALBA works in partnership with the BBC to broadcast Scotland’s Gaelic TV channel, BBC ALBA. In addition to its HQ in Stornoway, MG ALBA has a studio on the island of Skye and an office facility in Glasgow. Following the name change from Gaelic Media Services to MG ALBA, we were appointed to implement its branding across stationery, literature, signage and vehicle livery. The remit included the design and production of Corporate Identity Guidelines, in Gaelic and English.
Creative: We’ve applied the distinct and vibrant colours of the MG ALBA brand device throughout the Guidelines manual with section headers being in the lighter blue and body copy in the darker blue. On the front cover, the title is shown in Gaelic and English and we’ve introduced a section of the iconic star device from the MG ALBA logo to complement the lines from the MG ALBA branding.
Result: We created a bilingual publication that provides clear guidelines regarding the use and application of all elements of MG ALBA’s branding.
