Quarriers – Christmas Campaign

Brief: Quarriers is a Scottish charity providing practical support and care for children, adults and families at any stage of their lives. Since 1871, they’ve built on their expertise of providing a range of support to more than 17,000 people and across 150 sites nationwide. Towards the end of 2010, we were briefed to create and deliver a Direct Mail piece to send to its donor database. The brief was to target those who had donated to the charity throughout 2010 to demonstrate how the money they have given had made a positive impact on the vulnerable children they work with and to encourage repeat donation.

Creative: As the DM was being sent out just prior to Christmas, the concept developed for the communication piece promoted the fact that the money the donors had given during the year had been converted to the essential gifts of hope, selfworth, security and positivity. The piece included case studies based on this and included a number of real life scenarios and a donation form to encourage repeat donation.

Result: The DM piece was well received by both client and audience and resulted in a number of large cash donations and existing donors converting from one-off donations to monthly Direct Debit transactions.

Thought of the day…

The Death of Direct Mail?

Well thought out and executed Direct Mail is a beautiful thing. Lets hope the planned rise in the cost of stamps from Royal Mail doesn’t put an end this method of communication.
