Quarriers – Easter Campaign

Brief: Quarriers is a Scottish charity providing practical support and care for children, adults and families at any stage of their lives. Since 1871, they’ve built on their expertise of providing a range of support to more than 17,000 people and across 150 sites nationwide. We were briefed to create a Direct Mail piece for the charity to send to their donor base at Easter time to target recipients for a one-off cash donation or to sign up to a monthly direct debit.

Creative: Playing on the family Easter activities of egg painting and rolling, we developed a targeted campaign to highlight that Easter is not necessarily a happy time for everyone. Using painted eggs to portray images of children, with both happy and sad faces, we were able to highlight that there are children in Scotland who are unhappy and going through difficult times. The piece included case studies to highlight how Quarriers is helping such children and their families through these times and the messaging encouraged recipients to provide short-term and long-term financial support.

Result:
The response to the campaign was very encouraging with successful conversions to donations and monthly direct debits.

Thought of the day…

The Death of Direct Mail?

Well thought out and executed Direct Mail is a beautiful thing. Lets hope the planned rise in the cost of stamps from Royal Mail doesn’t put an end this method of communication.
