Scottish Squash and Racketball – Branding

Brief: Scottish Squash and Racketball is the national governing body for the sports of squash and racketball in Scotland and in 2010, we were commissioned to develop a corporate identity for Scottish Squash and Racketball and individual brand devices for Squash and Racketball. In 2011, the brief was extended to include specific product branding for Squash and Racketball.

Creative: The brief was quite challenging in that we had to bring a number of elements together including the main brand device reflecting Scotland, the sports of Squash and Racketball and the date when the body was established. The brand devices that we’ve created use the rackets of both sports into which we’ve inserted a graphic representation of the saltire and a Squash ball and a Racket ball. For the individual sports, we’ve applied the integrity of the corporate brand and have selected vibrant and contemporary colourways to provide contrast.

Result: The brand devices are now in use on a variety of corporate and marketing communications and client feedback has been extremely positive. We’ve also developed designs for a range of Squash and Racketball products.

The Death of Direct Mail?

Well thought out and executed Direct Mail is a beautiful thing. Lets hope the planned rise in the cost of stamps from Royal Mail doesn’t put an end this method of communication.
