Stòrlann – Curriculum Resources

Brief: Stòrlann is the Gaelic development agency responsible for coordinating the production and distribution of curriculum resources for Gaelic education. In 2011, we were briefed by Stòrlann to create and produce a 330 page information pack for Gaelic teachers of Home Economics.

Creative: The pack has been developed to show all aspects of the Home Economics subject including cooking, healthy eating, diet, hygiene, sewing, textiles and ways of conserving energy in the home. The creative presentation of this is through the use of colourful and relevant illustrations that pupils can relate to and coupled with tables and diagrams provide an important learning resource for teachers.

Result: The information pack, also containing a CD has been successfully implemented and Gaelic teachers of Home Economics throughout Scotland are now benefiting from an impressive and practical learning resource.
