The Gaelic Rings – Book

Brief: The Gaelic Rings, or Cearcaill na Gàidhlig was launched in 2007 with the aim of promoting Gaelic language and culture throughout the Hebridean islands and West Highland mainland. The Gaelic Rings, or Cearcaill na Gàidhlig is a series of round trips taking in the islands from Islay to Lewis and the West Highland mainland from Kennacraig to Ullapool. In addition to creating a brand look and feel for this exciting cultural project, we were also briefed to deliver a 150 page pocket-size book, in English and Gaelic, containing the personal journey of six highly respected Scots as they travelled on their chosen Ring.

Creative: The creative for the book is consistent with the format presented for the brand look and feel and in addition to the personal journey information, contains biographical information on the writers, journey maps and supporting imagery.

Result: As with the branding, we’ve received very positive feedback about the quality of the book and the individual journeys present a compelling and informative read.
